We have come across a number of movie and show filming locations over our travels and thought it might be a fun addition to add them to our website. Here are some that we've seen so far!
Harry Potter Filming Locations
Are you headed to England, Scotland, Wales, or Ireland? These are the locations used for shooting one of the most popular book and film series of all time, Harry Potter! We've had the ability to visit many of these locations on our travels across the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland. Here are some of those locations to help you find them!
Game of Thrones Filming Locations
Northern Ireland has had an influx of tourism lately due to its part in being the primary location for shooting the popular HBO television series Game of Thrones. Some locations are also shot in the Republic of Ireland. Are you a big fan of Game of Thrones? Perhaps this is the quest you've been looking for to convince your friends to finally get to Ireland!
Star Wars Filming Locations
There are Star Wars filming locations around the world, but only recently has tourism been so interested in finding these locations for travelers to visit. The most recent trilogy, starting with Episode VII, has been using a few locations in Ireland as well - including the famous Jedi Island - Skillig Michael. We've decided to start putting together a list of Star Wars filming locations for you to visit during your travels as well!
Disney's EPCOT “World Showcase” Real Life Locations
Disney's EPCOT theme park has "World Showcase", which has 11 separate countries that were designed using key locations in the actual countries while Tokyo Disney Sea has a number of ports that are based off of actual locations in geographic areas as well. We have been trying to put together a guide to help people find them if they are visiting those countries - and we have visited many of them already!

The Sound of Music Filming Locations
Who can resist visiting the many filming locations for “The Sound of Music,” the 1965 American musical drama film, based on the true story of Maria von Trapp’s life, about a young Austrian - who is sent to the villa of a retired naval officer to be governess to the seven von Trapp children - and brings love and music into the lives of the family while finding a way to survive the loss of their homeland to the Nazis.
