UPDATE: Our Adventure - Traveling Nomads to have a Baby

IMG_1633-EFFECTS.jpg

Just 24 weeks ago we left the comfort and security of our jobs after saving up just $25,000 and headed off to a lifetime of traveling the world. It's a leap of faith, but we figured that if we didn't do it now while we were still in our mid-thirties that we'd only get the opportunity again when we retired. So we sold our things, packed our bags, and headed out into the unknown!

So far, we have explored Paris, four of the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and La Palma), the Marrakesh area of Morocco, most of Italy, Austria, Northern England, Scotland, Western England, Wales, London, and Southeastern Ireland. We just arrived in Northern Ireland and will be making our way into the southwestern area soon.

It has been a whirlwind course of learning a new way to live, figuring out that being a digital nomad is much different than vacationing, and constantly planning our next moves and how to earn income on the side.

But, it's been incredible!

The beauty, cultures, food, adventures, and stories that we have seen, experienced, eaten, dared, and attained in just 24 weeks is nothing short of life-changing. But we've also learned so much about the world and other people during this time that it surpasses much of what we learnt in college.

We don't want to stop.

In fact, we've already planned and booked the rest of our first year of travel. We'll be heading off to Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Egypt, and South Africa before the year is over.

It is also our goal to try to help you, everyone who is reading our blog and following our adventures, learn to do it too. We want to make traveling easier for everyone. Not just through travel stories and tips & tricks, but much more than that.

With your help, we will be able to develop some apps, create a Nomad Guide that teaches how to start a mobile business that works, design a program that anyone can take for free which will replicate the Nomad MBA,  start a video blog on our YouTube channel, provide Virtual Reality 360-degree videos of much of our adventures, and more!

All you have to do is keep reading when something seems interesting to you!  It helps if you share our pictures, posts, videos with your friends as well.  If you'd like to be a part of the team, you can even join our team from your very own home!

We don't plan to let much of anything stop us from traveling.  In fact, we'd like to share some amazing news with you...

Jenny is 18 weeks pregnant!  So, in another 22 weeks or so, we'll be having a baby and he/she will be joining us on our travels as well!

We'll be adding in a few new sections to our website, Eat Wander Explore, to provide travel advice to help teach people how to travel while pregnant, with infants, toddlers, or children!  We want to dispell the notion that people seem to claim as fact: "You need to travel before you have kids, because once you do you'll never find the time again!".  FALSE!  Follow us to see that it's possible, check our tips and tricks to see how you might be able to do it yourself, and if you still can't seem to figure it out - feel free to send us a message and we'll try to answer it as soon as possible!

We hope you like the new website.  If you haven't had the chance to check it out - please give it a look today!
