Cheapest Places to Live > Bali on Less than $28 per day
We went to Bali for 30 days and stayed mostly in the greater Ubud area, although we did explore a little bit outside of that area as well. Here is our budget breakdown during that month and how we lived in Bali on less than $28 USD per day per adult. Let us know in the comments section if you have any questions.

NOTE: $1,589.90 not including airfare to Bali - why mention this? Because everyone’s airfare to Bali will be dependent on where they are from. The other expenses - while in Bali - should be comparable for everyone.

BUDGET BREAKDOWN
Because we spent most of our time in Ubud, most of the things that we did are based around the Ubud area this time. However, there were a few things that we did out near Kuta as well.
Transportation (airlines, taxis, trains, subways, buses, etc.)

The airline tickets to get to Bali from Singapore was fairly cheap, but they still took up 56% of our total Bali transportation costs.Personal Driver: $193.59

Our entire time was spent at this Airbnb in Tegallalang near Ubud, Bali. That’s 29 nights for this price - which was quite amazing especially considering everything that was nearby.
Food

Fast Casual Type Restaurants: $142.48
Dine-in (table service) Restaurants (including Warungs): $351.42

This included Balinese Massages, a Legong Dance at the Saraswati Temple, and a Kecak Ramayana & Fire Dance at Pura Dalem in UbudCultural Sites: $46.69
This included entrance to Goa Gajah, the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud, the Pura Tirta Empul Water Temple, the Pura Mengening Water Temple (donation), the Blangsing Waterfall (Tegenungan Waterfall), and the Western Bali Temple Tour which included Alas Kedaton, Taman Ayun (Mengwi), and Tanah Lot Temple.

While these are costs associated with our travels, they are not country-specific, which is why they are not included in this expense report.
